In 2004 Jay-Z announced his retirement from the rap game, stating that he wanted to spend more time developing his ever-expanding business empire. Well, thankfully for his fans (us included), his sabbatical didn’t last and he’s back out on tour. He hits the UK on June 29th, and most exciting of all for us being from Glasgow is that he is appearing here at the Glasgow SECC on the 20th of July. Luckily, we already have our tickets-there’s a huge group of us from Central Scotland going and ive been trying to advise on which hotels in glasgow would be good to stay. The crowds in Glasgow are always up for it so it should be a fantastic show, and the news that Mark Ronson is appearing as support should mean that there is something for everyone. Who knows maybe Jay-Z will bring Beyonce along with him, im sure she would be keen to sample the delights of Glasgow. Anyone else out there going?
